Kelly Mac is an award-winning producer, songwriter, and composer specializing in modern pop and R&B, as well as scoring to picture. With a passion for blending contemporary record production with innovative film scoring, she is constantly creating music that feels both emotionally resonant and commercially impactful. In addition to producing and collaborating with other artists, Mac also releases her own music as an artist, songwriter, and producer, working primarily within the pop and R&B genres.
As a producer and collaborator, Mac has worked with artists including Andrew Garcia, Emmavie, August Rigo, and more, and has produced singers from MTV’s Making the Band, The Voice, and X Factor. She has been featured in iStandard’s Producer Showcase and has recently been working alongside Grammy-winning producer LuneyTunez(Rihanna, Future) and a wide range of top-level writers and producers.
Mac is also highly sought after for film and television scoring. Her credits include the BET comedy film Block Party; the Netflix holiday film A New York Christmas Wedding; and the Essence Magazine docuseries Time of Essence, which currently airs on OWN. She has scored multiple short films, including Descended From the Promised Land: The Legacy of Black Street and The Spring, both of which were highlighted at the American Black Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival. Her work is regularly heard across film, television, advertising, and interactive media.
In addition to her artist and film work, Mac has collaborated on cutting-edge campaigns for globally recognized brands including Nike, Reebok, ESPN, and CoverGirl, as well as television shows such as The George Lopez Show and Disney’s Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.
Mac is a summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Writing and Production as well as Music Business Management. She grew up classically trained on trumpet and is self-taught on piano, experiences that sparked an early and lasting passion for writing and production. In addition to her creative work, Mac is actively involved in the music community and has served as a judge for the Clio Awards and The One Show. She is represented by BMI for writing and by both BMI and ASCAP for publishing. Her mission is to make a lasting impact on the evolving music industry by amplifying authentic voices across artists, media, and brands.
